The little children and Jesus

Today, I receive a word from my former group leader who is off to settle in Nepal for a long term mission [should you wish to support the work of God in that nation, PM me :) ] .. this verse reminded me that my platform is wide and cannot be belittled for the kingdom of God belongs even to the little kids that I get to spend time with every single school day. Pressure and joy arise as I hear this.
Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
I am a preschool teacher and this is my second year to be one, last year went well and as I face another school year .. I can feel how different it is from the last. I now have more students that includes some with special needs plus more responsibilities for I was tasked to head the department. To tell you honestly, I am having a hard time dealing with my everyday task that I even got sick after our first week of class. One morning I woke up feeling exhausted and God reminded me of His purpose for placing me here in such a time as this. Allow me to take you back to how I wanted this post to be mine, how broken I had been and how God amazingly proved me that He is at work.

I am in awe of God when I first heard from our principal that she believes in me and she wants me to head the preschool department of our school. I felt that it is all by His grace that I was promoted despite my lack of professional studies. Time went on and my momentum has gone to the leap. June come and strategic planning began to take place, there were some concerns that I personally raised and we all end up with a decision that is not at all favorable for me. I was taken out of preschool teaching but I remained to be the head though, I accepted and honored the decision as to submit to authority but I struggled a lot for the entire week .. I wept .. questioned His will as He use Ina [my new group leader] to speak to me from Deutoronomy 1 when God commanded His people through Moses to leave Horeb. I went home still unhappy and I was lead to read from Job where everything was taken from him .. the last chapter was made clear to me.

1 Then Job replied to the LORD:

2 “I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.

4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.’
5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”

tears come running down my face again., I repented and I chose to obey and trust His will. A week came after and I was brought to a divine appointment with my school friend Jerome, he asked me how I am taking my new assignment and beckon me to speak my heart and mind. I need not to say more, he knows my heart and encouraged me to raise it. I chose not to .. but he did. After a while I was called in the office and was asked by our principal to speak and so I did. To cut the story short, I was assigned back to teach not only the nurseries but the kindergarten too. Like in the life of Job when on the latter days he was blessed by God with more than what he had first.

Surely He works in ways we cannot see .. so what now? I am taking this line on more than just a job but a calling to bring the little ones to His kingdom. I tell you that this is not an easy task, it's like handling the most precious gems and placing it to where they belong .. to His kingdom and there's no way to do all these on my own, I need Him more than anyone else, I need Him to direct me in every way, to fill my heart with so much love to give and to filter my mouth to speak life to the little ones.

Lastly, as He made himself known to me .. He sure wants to make himself known to you too. To whatever He has called you to do, my prayer is that you will be a good steward of it. Let me end with another verse ...

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Perfect by Pink (cover)

By Moira Dela torre & Joe Henson

When I first watched the MTV of this song, I was reminded of myself. After a few days, people started to request for this song, and I got so excited. Millions of people suffer from finding their identity and their worth. We find it in places where we "know" could never find it. I rewrote the lyrics, hoping that, through this, you would know or be reminded that YOU & I ARE WONDERFULLY MADE. You are loved. Died for & fought for. Perfectly wired to fulfill the purposes God has laid out for each one and lastly... We are PERFECT in His eyes :) -- Moira

HERE TO STAY

Hi all, how is everything going? it took me a short while to write again though I have 4 pending entries that I am yet to publish. I want to say "I need more time" but well we were all given equal time so I have no right to demand for more. Anyway, I am here to stay. :)

I was consumed with sorrow and doubt for the past weeks after mama left for US. I felt a sudden rush on things, RUSH even on my maturity as a person and as a heiress in Christ. I tried to plan things out, I got confused .. I cried and I tried to be strong. I declared His goodness but at one point .. I raised questions to Him, but I feared' I fear that God will throw back those questions and ask my why do I think so. Then I imagine Him writing all His promises to me and then say "here are my promises, have you not read? or if you do have you believed? if you believed, why ask me this questions?"

Sunday came and we attended our usual Sunday service. On the screen says "when God doesn't make sense" THIS GOT ME. We've read through the entire book of Habakkuk (click to read the book) where he rant his questions and hurts to God, he was so vocal with his feelings that maybe if I was there I will ask him to stop and remind him that he is talking to GOD. So what was the response of God? He could've just took his life right there He is God anyway and He owns our life but He didn't.. instead, God declare promises. Then I wondered, WHY? can God not answer our questions? HE CAN .. but why not? Because we cannot fully understand His ways so He gives promises and it is for us to trust Him completely.

Today, I was tasked to lead our devotion in school and I read about the Parable of the sower in Matthew 13. Remembering a tiny plant that I once saw on the mountain gently swaying as the strong wind blows but not uprooted. To my curiosity I lean towards it and saw the same kind of plant that is uprooted., I noticed that its root is even longer than the plant itself. The thing here is, where do we saw our seeds? on the path, rock or on a soil where roots can go deep?' ASK OURSELVES NOW.

2 Things I learned on this season:
  1.  It's okay to ask God, not that we are questioning His will but to hear His voice and remind us of His promises that we have forgotten. Remember that we may not understand God, but He understand us. He sees our heart. Allow me to quote the last tweet our one of our Pastors wife who suffered from cancer “There are things I don’t understand, questions I want to raise. But I should know my place & praise YOU instead.” – Maileen Hern
  2.  Reading His word is not enough, meditation is a must. We read His word not to impress or brag that we do but we read to meet with God in such a way that strong relationship will be built which results to a life that is pleasing before Him.
Things may still be confusing for me to this point, but I will wait on the Lord. I AM HERE TO STAY :)

BATTLE TO LOSE: Day1

Hi all, how is the change of weather affecting you? it was my first day to hit the gym last night and much as my desire to blog about it right away, I was forced to sleep right after I talk with mama because I felt so tired.

I woke up a little late yesterday that I had to rush the laundry, do bank transactions and then visit one house to the other to teach my tutees for the day. Afterwards, I hurriedly went home and pack my things that I will need in the gym .. the weather challenged me big time, it was so cold that if not for my desire to really lose weight I would've chose to just laze around on bed, watch a movie and eat tortillas!!! NOM. But well, I have to tap my self on the shoulder and say "if you want something to happen, you gotta go now" and so I did. Traffic is present as usual, so I learned that I should go earlier next time. As I reached the place, I've seen people from different walks of health .. some looks good in shape but still does the treadmill, the others are old yet are so active in dance classes .. men and woman alike sweating and enjoying spending their precious time inside the Fitness First - MOA.

It wasn't easy, I had to explore the club myself. I went to the girls room to change and find a good locker to secure my things. Afterwards, I approached one of the trainer that seemed to be available at the time .. I find her very nice that she offered to be my personal trainer. We joined the group exercise and I enjoyed it. I find it enjoyable to work out with a lot of people, it's like you are pushing each other to keep going and meet the goal. All in all, it was a great first day and I am looking forward for more.

At the end of the day, I realized that there is one thing that is common between God and the enemy. Both of them are at work, Fitness First - MOA is situated right beside Mc Donalds. :)

Thanks for reading.

I AM FAT

Yes I am .. and for the longest time I am tried to lose weight but never succeed. Well at some points I lose weight but gained double right after. Name every diet plans, coffee or even slimming drugs I've tried them all .. but none really work for me because I always start and never finished.

A lot of times when I pitty myself when in the mall  the clothes that I want won't fit and whenever someone who doesn't know me thinks that I am already a mom when I have not even been in a relationship because of the way I look. Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of voluptuous ladies who carries themselves so well but not me. Oh well, I don't look so bad but I am not confident with the way I look either.,I honestly envy large built girls who are sooooper confident despite their size .. they look very pleasing to my eyes. :)

My friend who does the amazing rate :)
Point is, I don't want my flabby abs and huge thighs but I don't really work on getting rid of them. So here am I FAT at 25. So today, with the help of my friend I enrolled at Fitness First hoping that this will finally help me get my ideal weight. Let's see what happens. :)
